RP-Artisans Lineup for Tacticon 2010

Tacticon runs September 2-5 this year.  Here are the games RP-Artisans will be running.  (I'm not listing slots until we get those confirmed from the DGA.)  Hope to see you all there!

Name of Event: Gauntlet Run

Author/GM: Michelle Norton

Event Description: When the private luxury ship, Honeymoon Drift, is asked to take a newly wed couple to their new home on Beylix by the bride's father, Captain Simmons gladly agrees. However the trip is anything but a sweet ride. (Keywords: scifi, serenity, firefly, ship crew. Mature players only.)

Name of Event: The Mile High Club Welcomes Our New Alien Overlords

Author/GM: Scott Field

Event Description: Denver’s premiere (only) superhero team returns from an outer space adventure to find the Earth conquered, its heroes defeated.  Only their greatest enemy can help them free their world – but the cure could be worse than the disease.  Jeez, you turn your back for a minute…  (Keywords: spandex, comedy, character-driven roleplaying.)

Name of Event: Divine Will: The Flame Of Life

Author/GM: Scott Field

Event Description: Someone has given the secret of immortality to mortal men.  Is that a good thing, or a tragedy in the making?  Who would do such a thing, and why?  It will take more than “heroes” to unravel the mystery – it will take nothing less than the gods themselves.  Good thing we have some handy!  Come get your God Complex on and shape the world to your Divine Will!  (Keywords: über-Epic level fantasy, character-driven roleplaying.)

Game System Used: Fantasy Hero

Level of Game Knowledge Required:  Beginner, Rules Taught, Characters Provided.

Name of Event: Teen Titans Go!:  Power Princess

Author/GM: Bill Keyes

Event Description: Pop princess Soda Dakota is in town filming her latest movie, and the Titans have a chance to party with the rich and famous! Meanwhile, a new superheroine is making a big splash in Jump City – but what happens when she bites off more than she can chew? Can the Titans rescue her from herself (and from the army of enemies she’s made)??? (Keywords: Teenage superheroes, madcap hijinks.)

Game System Used: Champions

Level of Game Knowledge Required:  Beginner. Rules Taught. Characters Provided.

Name of Event: The Con Con

Author/GM: Troy Latta

Event Description: You are one of six stereotypical gamers in the wrong place at the wrong time. The convention you’re all attending has just been hijacked by terrorists! Through luck or fate, your table is the only one not captured. You and your compatriots must use your not-so-mundane skills and abilities to defend your co-attendees. (Keywords: not-quite-reality, tiger-team, revenge-of-the-stereotypes)

Game System Used: Cortex

Level of Game Knowledge Required:  Beginner, Rules Taught, Characters Provided.

2010 Team Event Modules Available For Download

The 2010 Team Roleplaying Challenge adventure "The Blood Of Inti" is now available on the Downloads page.  And because we somehow never got around to it last year, we've also posted the 2009 Team module "Nature, Nurtured."  We hope you have as much fun with them as we did!  Let us know what you think of them on our Discussion List or Facebook page

GenghisCon 2010 Aftermath

18 games for a total of 125 players! (Plus a couple Pathfinder tables that Troy judged.) The number and quality of locally-written games seems to increase every year, so congratulations to all our local authors & GMs.

Thanks everyone, and we hope you had as much fun playing as we did GMing!
. See you all at Tacticon!

Congratulations to Wes Robins, Best Judge for GenghisCon 2010!

Wes ran all 9 slots, and got perfect scores on all 9.  Way to make the rest of us look like slackers, Wes!  ;)

Congratulations to the Badger Adventurer's Guild, Winners of the 2010 Team Roleplaying Challenge!

Returning champions, The Badger Adventurer's Guild successfully defended their title, winning the 2010 Team Roleplaying Challenge.  Hats off to Keith Tatroe, Joe Carlson, Mike Nichols, Jim Carsten, Alyson Enright, and Dennis Stalnaker.

The Waterdeep Boys Club took second place.  But the important thing is we hope all teams enjoyed themselves - your GMs sure had a great time!
